Here are answers to questions we frequently hear from families considering our investment strategies and services.

What makes your investment strategy different?

We use conservative options strategies alongside equally-weighted portfolios to seek high-quality individual stocks. This can help increase income while striving to reduce risk.

Do you work with clients outside of Texas?

Yes, we work with clients nationwide and are registered in nearly every state, including Alaska. Many of our long-term client relationships have grown as families have moved across the country.

Who is &Partners and why do you work with them?

&Partners is our broker-dealer that provides the platform, compliance support, and custody services through Fidelity. This partnership allows us to focus on what we do best – managing your investments and providing personalized service.

What happens to my account if you’re gone?

Our team structure provides continuity, with multiple licensed advisors who are familiar with each client situation. Additionally, &Partners provides institutional stability for our clients.

Where are my assets held?

&Partners has selected Fidelity Investments through its broker-dealer National Financial Services LLC (NFS) as our primary custodian. &Partners and NFS are members of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC) which protects securities customers of its members when a brokerage firm is closed due to bankruptcy of other financial difficulties. &Partners and NFS provide coverage in excess of the traditional SIPC coverage.

How do you manage risk in volatile markets?

We use option strategies on the specific indices, which can act as a portfolio hedge. When markets decline, these positions can increase in value, helping to offset potential losses in the stock portfolio.

What types of clients do you typically work with?

We work with business owners, corporate executives, retirees, and multigenerational families who have $1-5 million in investable assets and value long-term relationships.

How often will we meet and review my account?

We believe in regular communication and typically meet with clients quarterly for formal reviews, with additional contact as needed based on market conditions or changes in your situation.

How are you compensated?

We operate on a fee-based model where our compensation is based on the assets we manage for you. This aligns our interests with yours – when your account grows, we do well, and when it doesn’t, neither do we.
